About the event

Welcome! An ethics PD training event with Dr. Dawn McBride is well known for overdelivering - packed with ample information presented in a dynamic, fast-paced style. During the training, you will be encouraged to "take what fits -and ditch or modify" any of Dawn's material since there are no shoulds - just ideas and recommendations designed to increase your efficiency and effectiveness in writing session notes.


A. CONTEXT to the ETHICS TRAINING SERIES:


  • THIS TRAINING --> Part #1 of 3 (WRITING ETHICAL SESSION NOTES) focuses on helping front-line counselling staff write session notes, with their work with adult clients, that are ethical, useful, meaningful, transparent, and efficient (ideally, written under 5 mins.). This is the event you are reading about :) BTW: The phrase "write smarter, not longer" comes from the work of Reamer, 2005.
