This retreat welcomes counsellors, psychologists, social workers, educators, healthcare professionals, students, and others who support the learning objectives.

 

Whether you are seeking professional development, personal enrichment, meaningful connections, or an opportunity to reflect and recharge, you are welcome.

The retreat offers a unique opportunity to combine professional learning with the beauty, culture, and natural surroundings of South Africa.

Professional Development and Tax Considerations

Retreat-related expenses may qualify as business or professional development expenses, depending on your circumstances. Please consult your accountant or tax professional to determine eligibility.

Retreat Details: 

Date: April 30th, 2027 - May 7th, 2027, with optional online gatherings between Nov. and April.

Fee *for nearly all-inclusive when in South Africa*: R74,400 (Rands; Official Currency of South Africa; approximately $6,630 CAD; includes many meals, activities, etc. (please see below).

Enhance cultural comptence and strengthen ethical, culturally responsive practices with diverse client populations.

2) Promoting Environmental Stewardship

Explore how connecting with nature and understanding environmental stewardship may support personal well-being, reflective practice, and culturally responsive approaches to care.

3) Engage in Self-Care Practices

Step away from everyday professional responsibilities to engage in guided reflection, restorative experiences, and intentional practices that support personal and professional well-being.

4) Foster Professional Connections 

Cultivate meaningful relationships with fellow counsellors and participants through shared experiences and collaborative discussions that promote personal and professional growth. 

5) Participate in Debriefing Circles

Explore insights and enhance one's own counselling practice.
